Practice Protection Network Terms of Use and Disclaimer

How the Practice Protection Network Terms of Use and Disclaimer Apply

Effective date: July 26, 2026

These Website Terms of Use and Disclaimer (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of https://www.practiceprotectionnetwork.com/, including its articles, downloads, forms, videos, trainings, resources, and other content (collectively, the “Website”). The Website is owned and operated by Practice Protection Network™ LLC (“PPN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Website.

1. Purpose of the Website

PPN is a professional-development and consulting company that helps mental health professionals build clinical confidence, protect their practice, and build sustainable careers.

Website content is provided for general educational and informational purposes. Content may address professional development, clinical documentation, medical necessity, ethics, insurance processes, risk management, supervision, private-practice operations, and career sustainability.

2. Not Therapy, Clinical Care, or Crisis Support

Practice Protection Network™ LLC does not provide psychotherapy, mental health treatment, diagnosis, crisis intervention, or other clinical services through this Website.

Use of the Website does not create a therapist-client relationship. Do not use the Website, its forms, email, social-media pages, trainings, or community spaces to seek emergency or clinical care.

If you or another person may be in immediate danger, call 911 or contact the appropriate local emergency service. PPN does not monitor the Website continuously and cannot respond to emergencies.

If you are seeking therapy in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, or South Carolina, please visit our sister practice, Wellness Tree Counseling LCSW PLLC, at www.wellnesstreecounseling.com.

3. Professional-Development Disclaimer

The Website and PPN resources do not constitute:

  • Legal advice or an attorney-client relationship

  • Clinical supervision or a supervisor-supervisee relationship

  • Psychotherapy, diagnosis, treatment, or healthcare

  • Accounting, tax, credentialing, billing, or financial advice

  • Insurance, audit-defense, regulatory, or compliance representation

  • A guarantee of licensure compliance, claim payment, audit outcome, risk elimination, or professional result

Information may not apply to every profession, payer, employer, contract, practice setting, or jurisdiction. Laws, regulations, ethical requirements, payer policies, and professional standards change over time. You remain responsible for independently evaluating information and consulting qualified legal counsel, clinical supervisors, insurers, accountants, licensing boards, payers, or other professionals when appropriate.

4. No Professional Relationship From Website Use

Viewing content, downloading a resource, joining the newsletter or Facebook group, submitting a form, or communicating with PPN does not by itself establish an individualized consulting relationship.

An individual consultation or organizational engagement begins only after PPN accepts the engagement and any required agreement, payment, consent, or intake process is completed. Separate service terms may apply and will control if they conflict with these Website Terms.

5. Continuing-Education Disclaimer

PPN may share information about current or future trainings and continuing-education opportunities. Unless a specific course page expressly states that a course is approved for continuing-education credit and identifies the applicable provider, profession, jurisdiction, number of credit hours, and completion requirements, you should not assume that participation qualifies for continuing-education credit.

PPN does not guarantee that a licensing board, employer, credentialing body, or other organization will accept any course or certificate.

6. Accuracy and Updates

We make reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate information, but we do not guarantee that Website content is complete, current, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. PPN may update, remove, or revise content at any time without notice.

Any examples, templates, checklists, scenarios, or sample language must be adapted to your setting, role, jurisdiction, and applicable requirements. They are not substitutes for individualized review.

7. Confidentiality and Client Information

Do not submit protected health information, client names, initials, dates of birth, screenshots, medical-record content, or combinations of details that could identify a client.

You are solely responsible for maintaining client confidentiality and complying with HIPAA, state privacy laws, professional ethics, employer policies, contracts, and all other applicable requirements. PPN may delete submissions that appear to contain confidential or identifying information.

8. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use

Unless otherwise stated, the Website and its original content—including text, graphics, logos, downloads, frameworks, training materials, videos, worksheets, and design elements—are owned by Practice Protection Network™ LLC or used with permission and are protected by intellectual-property laws.

PPN grants you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to access the Website and use materials for your own personal professional development or internal business reference, subject to any additional license stated on a resource.

PPN may operate a Facebook group or other community space. Additional group rules may apply. PPN may moderate, decline, remove, or restrict content or participation to protect the community and its purpose.

Although a group may be designated private, PPN cannot guarantee that other members will maintain confidentiality or refrain from copying content. Participate thoughtfully and do not share client-identifying or otherwise confidential information.

12. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, resources, products, or services. These links are provided for convenience and do not necessarily constitute endorsement. PPN does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, privacy practices, accuracy, or terms.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. PPN DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND AVAILABILITY.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRACTICE PROTECTION NETWORK™ LLC AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, PRESENTERS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE WEBSITE OR ITS CONTENT.
